What Our General Pest Visits Cover

Last updated: October 2026

Iowa Pest Solutions provides general pest control based on the concerns and treatment plan agreed with you. Work may include inspecting accessible areas, identifying common pest activity, applying an appropriate treatment, and explaining any steps you should take before or after service.

The specific pests, locations, and methods included will be stated in your estimate or service agreement. Specialized work, extensive cleanup, repairs, wildlife removal, and treatment for pests outside the agreed plan require a separate quote and your approval.

All pesticide work must follow applicable requirements, including the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, Iowa Code Chapter 206, and Iowa Administrative Code Chapter 45. EPA-approved pesticide labels govern application and disposal.

Our applicators follow applicable OSHA Hazard Communication Standard requirements, 29 CFR 1910.1200, and Iowa pesticide-container disposal rules. Hazardous waste is handled under applicable federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act requirements.

Relevant agencies include the EPA, Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, OSHA, and, where appropriate, the Iowa Attorney General’s Office.

Arranging, Changing, or Canceling a Visit

We schedule appointments with you by phone, email, or another agreed method. Your confirmation should identify the expected service date or arrival window and the work planned.

Please provide access to the areas being treated and tell us about relevant conditions, including pets, children, or access restrictions. If you need to cancel or change a visit, contact us as soon as possible using the contact details below. Any cancellation deadline or fee applies only if it was disclosed and agreed to before booking.

We may need to reschedule because of weather, unsafe conditions, access problems, or other circumstances that prevent proper service. We will contact you to arrange another time.

If an inspection reveals that the requested work differs from the approved plan, we will explain the change and any added charge before proceeding. We will not treat additional areas or perform extra work without your approval. A requested change may affect the appointment length, price, or availability.

Understanding Quotes and Charges

We provide an estimate based on the information available, the areas to be treated, and the work discussed with you. An estimate is not a final charge for work that changes after inspection; we will explain any difference and seek your approval before doing work outside the agreed scope. Ask us to clarify what is included, any preparation you must complete, and whether a return visit is part of the proposed service.

Payment is due as stated in your written estimate, service agreement, or invoice. We will identify accepted payment methods and any applicable taxes or fees before you approve the work.

If no different due date is stated, payment is due when the service is completed. Please contact us promptly if you believe a charge is incorrect so we can review the estimate, service record, and invoice with you.

No price, discount, or financing arrangement applies unless it is expressly provided to you in writing. Additional work requires your approval before it begins.

What to Expect About Service Guarantees

Any workmanship warranty, retreatment commitment, or other guarantee applies only when its terms are provided in writing for your particular service. The written terms will state what is covered, how long coverage lasts, and how to request follow-up.

These terms may vary by pest, treatment, property conditions, and the service plan. Unless a written agreement says otherwise, payment for a visit does not create an additional warranty or promise that pests will never return.

Coverage may not apply to pests or areas outside the approved scope, new activity after the covered period, or conditions that interfere with treatment. Examples can include untreated adjoining areas, structural openings, sanitation or moisture issues, and failure to follow preparation or follow-up instructions.

We will explain any applicable limits before you approve covered work. Contact us with your service details if activity continues; we can review the written terms and discuss appropriate next steps. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

Responsibility for Service-Related Losses

To the extent allowed by law, Iowa Pest Solutions’ responsibility for a claim arising from a particular service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. This limit does not apply where the law prohibits limiting responsibility, including for certain intentional or legally non-waivable conduct.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, building defects, pest activity outside the agreed treatment area, or losses caused by conditions beyond our reasonable control. Nothing here removes your responsibility to follow service instructions or to tell us about relevant property conditions.

We apply pesticides in accordance with applicable law and EPA-approved product labels, including requirements under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act. Iowa applicator licensing and certification requirements include Iowa Code Chapter 206 and Iowa Administrative Code Chapter 45.

Applicable OSHA hazard communication rules and pesticide-container disposal directions also govern our work. Any hazardous-waste handling is subject to applicable federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act requirements.

These terms do not authorize a label violation or waive protections that cannot be waived under Iowa or federal law.

Questions About These Service Terms

If you have questions about these terms or a service agreement, contact Iowa Pest Solutions at (877) 729-2528 or info@iowapestsolutions.top. You may also write to 801 Grand Ave, Des Moines, IA.

Please include your name, service address, appointment date, and a brief description of your question so we can direct it to the right person. These terms apply alongside any written estimate or service agreement you approve; if provisions conflict, the specific written service terms control for that work to the extent permitted by law.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be posted wherever these terms are made available, with an updated effective date when applicable.

For a change that materially affects a scheduled or ongoing service, we will provide notice by a reasonable method, such as email or a notice with your service documents. Changes do not alter work already completed.

If you do not agree with an update, contact us before approving further service so we can discuss how it affects your arrangements.
